My friend, worship leader Barbara Cordrey, has produced a new CD which is helping people feel God’s love. The singer songwriter who leads worship at Jennifer Rees Larcombe’s ‘Beauty From Ashes’ ministry sees her new album ‘Dance With Me’ as ‘an invitation to slow dance with Jesus’.
The former Doctor’s receptionist had no idea she could even sing, let alone write songs until she became a Christian and heard Jesus tell her ‘Sing a new song to the Lord.’ Her ‘Dance with Me’ CD follows a couple of years after her first album ‘Come to Me’.
For some time, Barbara had felt Jesus whispering to her heart that He wanted her to dance with Him so she could be completely at rest in His arms, and could hear the song of love that He was singing over her.
‘The songs on this new album are exactly that – an invitation to come aside from the busyness of life, and all its struggles, to put your hand in His, and enjoy a slow dance with Jesus. To rest loved,’ said Barbara, who wants to share her experience of God’s love with listeners of ‘Dance with Me’.
Now it is the prayer of Barbara’s heart that ‘no matter where life finds you, you will hear Jesus singing His beautiful love song over you. That you will be swept up into His loving arms of grace, and that you will truly know how very much He loves you and is with you, always.’
‘Beauty from Ashes’, where Barbara plays and sings, is a charity supporting the work of Christian author Jennifer Rees Larcombe.
Its aim is to encourage people whose lives have been distorted or broken through loss and trauma towards faith in, and dependence on, Christ. Barbara ministers to people through music while the Lord restores them.
People have already contacted Barbara to tell her that her prayer is being answered as they are feeling God’s peace and smelling His fragrance while they listen to her new album.
‘Dance with Me’ is available for £10.00 through ‘Beauty For Ashes’ website www. beautyfromashes.co.uk
