God Loves You

A pic of a cross

‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life,’ John 3:16

You Are Special

I know everything there is to know about you.

I see your actions. I read your thoughts.

I see you at work and I see you at play.

I see you while you sleep the night away.

You are special.

Even before you utter your first word,

I know exactly what you will say.

My presence surrounds you and My power protects you.

I envelope you.

You are special.

You cannot comprehend how much I know about you.

You cannot go anywhere I am not.

If you tiptoe into heaven, I am there.

If you sleep in the grave, I am there.

If you take a plane east, I am there

or if you move to the west, I am there.

I am wherever you are to show you

the way

and help you each moment of the day.

You are special.

You could try to hide in the dark, but I‘d

still see you.

I see you night and day.

I formed every single part of you, from

your sturdy body right to each tiny eyelash.

I put you all together so perfectly

in your mother’s womb.

I want you to thank Me for making you.

I want you to see that all I do is mysterious and wonderful.

I want you to believe this deep in your heart because it is true.

You are special.

When your bones were being formed,

their fragile pieces being put together

so carefully in your mother’s womb, I knew you were there.

Before you ever came into the world,

I saw you.

You are special.

In fact, I had written every day of your

life in My book long before the first day began.

You won’t ever understand

My care and My thoughts of you for they

are beyond spoken words.

To count them would be like counting grains of sand.

There would be no end; but if there were,

I’d be there even when you stop counting!

You are special and I love you.

(A modern paraphrase of Psalm 139)

The Garden of Gethsemane
